Questionable Motives
I'm not sure what to make of children abandoning school to protest about climate change. School is quite a chore for many children so demonstrating about something may be an attractive alternative for many, regardless of what they are demonstrating about.
I'd be more impressed if great numbers of school children abandoned their usual weekend entertainments to demonstrate on a Saturday afternoon.

Richard, I believe you are doing a great injustice to the young people who have been going on strike over climate change. As far as I can ascertain (and I haven't actually spoken to any of them in person, just heard interviews on radio), these children are genuinely frightened of what is to become of our planet in their lifetime, and are desperate to make the older generation take last-minute action to reverse catastrophic climate change.
Have you heard that astonishing Swedish girl Greta Thunberg? Do you genuinely think that she is just skiving off school because she fancies time out of the classroom?
